Southie

This 125-year-old South Boston rowhome, last remodeled in the 1990s, was in dire need of an update. The layout was disjointed and lacked flow, a series of small, compartmentalized rooms that worked against how a modern family actually lives.

The renovation reimagined the whole home. By opening up the floor plan, we turned those closed-off rooms into a cohesive, functional family home, with a new kitchen, an open living room, a fully renovated bath, and outdoor living spaces that extend the home beyond its walls.

In the kitchen, blue shaker cabinetry, quartzite countertops and a classic white subway tile backsplash nod to the home’s history while feeling fresh and current.

Throughout, the goal was to respect the character of a century-old rowhome while giving it the light, flow and function of a home built for today.
